I found this tutorial to be fairly easy to follow. It was beginner-friendly and had clear instructions. Although to follow this tutorial, I had to find a portrait that was taken straight-on. I don't think this specific tutorial would work with photos taken at different angles. Also, it was difficult to find an image of hands pointing how I wanted them to online. So instead, I used the hands from The Creation of Adam to put my own twist on it. I liked the effect the gradient map had on the color in this image.
